Mrinal started his musical journey back in 2011 after listening to a live band which inspired him to pick up the guitar. He passed his RSL Grade 8(Electric Guitar) in 2018 with merit from RGS and started teaching music thereafter. He currently teaches guitar to students all around the globe at RGS and White Hat Jr.

As a music educator, he takes care of the fact that his students relate to their instrument in order to have a natural connection and get

better at expressing the sound that is in their head, using music theory only as a roadmap and depending heavily upon their ears. He also helps students compose their own songs.

His musical influences include bands like Metallica, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Radiohead, and Damien Rice but he enjoys listening to music across all genres and languages.
