Agnendra Baugh

Born into a family of artists and musically talented people. His elder sister learned and performed Kathak accompanied by Hindustani Classical Music. Agnedra’s father is a fan of the 70’s Western Music and therefore he grew up listening to diverse music and different genre.
Music and Dance culture within his family prompted & encouraged him to sense and react to the beats & rhythms at an early age of 2. Starting with the Bongos at the age of 6, Agnendra had a natural sense of rhythm and time. Noticing this, his parents appointed a Bongo Teacher. Although Agnendra used to follow the teacher and the exercises, he was
more interested in cooking his own rhythms and jamming along with any kind of music that would appeal to him. He would replicate and embellish the rhythms he would hear. Soon he began to take part in musical activities and performances in his school. At the age of 9, Agnendra picked up the keyboard and explored the instrument for a while. By 16 Agnendra was on a much deeper level and he decided to buy a Drum kit.
The journey eventually took him inevitably to pursue music professionally. and take formal training in Drums, which gave him a deep knowledge of both music and the instrument.

By the time he turned 19, Agnendra was playing live gigs and teaching full time. He played with many Well known local bands in the city like the Eclipse, Crimson, Aleph, Food, etc. to name a few. Over the years, he has taught many prominent drummers who took up music professionally and went into performing and teaching

Teaching Experience

Agnendra has been an active Drum teacher for over 15 years now and has taught at many renowned academic and music schools in and out of the city.
